Project Title: Timberline Lift Station Upgrades Project

1/6/2012 update: On November 14, 2011, the EID Board of Directors awarded the construction contract to Clyde G. Steagall, Inc. Weather permitting, the contractor anticipates starting the installation of the new perimeter fence in late January. Temporary fencing will be used to secure the site during the block wall installation. Onsite work to install a new manhole is tentatively set to occur in March, followed by electrical upgrades in May. Substantial completion of the project should occur by September 30, 2012.

9/29/2011 update: The design of the project is complete. As suggested by attendees at our July 27, 2011, public information meeting, EID evaluated options for the perimeter fence. A new 8-foot tall split-face block wall will be installed to replace the existing cyclone fence. Some existing vegetation will be removed to allow installation of the footings for the wall. The existing gate will be replaced with a redwood gate. Contractor bids are due October 25 and we anticipate taking the project to the EID Board of Directors for award on November 14. There will be a short pre-bid site walk-through on October 6. We do not anticipate any work will begin until early 2012.

The Timberline Lift Station is located at the intersection of Timberline Ridge Road and New York Creek Court in El Dorado Hills. This lift station was constructed in 1989 for local area sewer flows. The project will replace the existing pumps, generator, electrical equipment, order control system and related equipment that have reached the end of their service reliability. The District plans to advertise the project in September 2011 and will commence construction later this year. Construction should be complete by mid-2012. Construction updates will be posted to this site during the course of construction.

Please note that there will be no disruption of sewer service during construction.
