How do you calculate my sewer commodity charge?
The residential
sewer commodity charge is based on what we call the “Winter
Quarter Average” or the water consumption during the winter months.
For billing cycles 1, 2, 3, or 4 the water consumption on the February
bill is used to calculate a new sewer commodity charge to go into effect
on the April bill. For billing cycles 5, 6, 7, or 8 the water consumption
on the January bill is used to calculate the new sewer commodity charge
to go into effect on the March bill. The new commodity charge will remain
in effect for one full year.
I have a tenant living in a home that I own; can I put the bill in the tenant's name? As the owner of the property, you can add tenants to the water bill “in care of.” The bill must remain in your name. You can complete an Owner/Tenant Agreement and have your tenant added to the account.
I am a tenant; can I get the bill in
my name?
As a tenant,
you can only be added to the water bill as “in care
of.” The bill must remain in the name of the owner. The owner can
complete an Owner/Tenant
Agreement and have you added to the account.
Does EID offer low income or senior rates?
Sorry we do not. However, we are currently looking at a rate structure
that may include them. We will keep our customers informed of any changes.
