FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Placerville, Calif. — For the month of September, EID customers reduced their water use by 19 percent compared to September 2013, falling short of the state-mandated 28 percent reduction target.

EID is required to reduce its water consumption by 28 percent from June 2015 through February 2016, compared to the same months in 2013, under a mandate issued by the State Water Resources Control Board.

From October 1 until November 15, customers are restricted to watering outside twice a week. Outside watering will be restricted to one time a week from November 16 through April 15. For more detail on watering restrictions, go to www.eid.org/WateringRestrictions.

Additional information is available on EID’s website at www.eid.org/drought along with ideas for how customers can save water inside and outside of their homes or businesses.
