EID often puts out reminders about FOG—fats, oils, and grease—and the damage it can cause our sanitary sewer system. But it’s important to remember that non-biodegradable items that are flushed down toilets and rinsed down sinks that do not break down can form rock-hard blockages, forming fatbergs!

The Eldorado National Forest will burn 169 acres approximately four miles northwest of Kirkwood next week, if weather conditions allow, as part of a multi-year ecological restoration project in partnership with EID, Sierra Nevada Conservancy SNC, and the USFS.
