Black Oak Equestrian Area

Black Oak facilities include 13 campsites of various sizes, each with a table, fire ring, and hitching rails. There are vault toilets, drinking water, horseshoe pits, electricity, corrals in most camps. Overflow parking is available in the assembly area. Individual campsites can be reserved online. Call for availability and for group rates.

This group area is exclusively for campers with horses. Campers without horses or not accompanying an equestrian camper are not permitted. This site can be reserved as a group and will accommodate up to 100 people and 25 vehicles (up to 3 small RVs).

The first 50 people are included with your reservation; any additional people will be charged a $4.00 fee per person, per day. Site amenities: Picnic table, charcoal barbecue, fire ring, some corals and hitching posts, adjoins horse trails around Jenkinson Lake and USFS system lands. Trails

There are 9 miles of equestrian trails.

Hazel Meadow, adjacent to Hazel Creek Campground, is set up to accommodate riders for a picnic lunch. Hitching rails and picnic tables are available with vault toilets nearby.
