Public Tour- El Dorado Hills Water Treatment Plant

Join the El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) for a public tour of the El Dorado Hills Water Treatment Plant
This behind-the-scenes tour offers an opportunity to learn how EID captures, treats, and delivers safe drinking water throughout its expansive 220-square-mile service area.
Participants will learn how raw water from Folsom Lake travels to the El Dorado Hills Water Treatment Plant, where it undergoes multiple treatment processes before being delivered to homes, businesses, schools, and fire protection systems throughout the community. During the tour, attendees will gain insight into:

The importance of maintaining and reinvesting in critical water infrastructure
The El Dorado Hills Water Treatment Plant plays an important role in EID’s water system by helping provide reliable drinking water service to customers throughout portions of EID’s service area.
Tour Information

Important Safety Information
This tour is primarily outdoors and includes walking on uneven terrain, stairs, and operational facility areas. Participants should wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes.
For safety reasons, children under 12 years old are not permitted on the tour.
All participants will be required to sign an EID liability waiver prior to participating.
