NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the regular meeting of the Board of Directors of El Dorado Irrigation District on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Board will consider the adoption of a resolution to require that the election of Board members be held on the same date as the statewide general election.
The effect of this resolution would be to change the dates of El Dorado Irrigation District’s Board of Directors elections from November of odd-numbered years to November of even-numbered years. If the election dates are changed, the terms of the incumbent Board members that would otherwise expire in 2015 and 2017 will be extended one year by operation of law.
If it is adopted by El Dorado Irrigation District’s Board of Directors, the resolution would be subject to the approval of the El Dorado and Sacramento County Boards of Supervisors before the election dates would be changed.
The proceedings on this resolution will be held at the Harry J. Dunlop Customer Service Building, 2890 Mosquito Road, Placerville, California 95667.
