Recreation Collage

Day-use picnic areas are located throughout Sly Park Recreation Area.  Each day use area is marked on the Park Map with a picnic table.  The first large day-use area, known as the Main Day Use Area, is located half a mile from the gatehouse entrance.  All are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

Day Use Hours

October through April

Monday – Sunday, 7:30 a.m. until dusk

May through September

Monday – Sunday, 6:30 a.m. until dusk

Please note:  No domestic animals or diapers are allowed in the water or streams of Jenkinson Lake

Sly Park Recreation Area is please to announce the completion of several trail improvements. Funding was provided by a grant from CalTrans Active Transportation Program (ATP). With collaboration of work from Sly Park staff and the California Conservation Corps. Tahoe Division..
