Upper Main Ditch Project Update - Biological Surveys Planned For Upper Main Ditch Piping Project
At the April 22, 2019 meeting, the El Dorado Irrigation District (EID or District) Board of Directors certified the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Upper Main Ditch Piping Project (Project) and selected the Blair Road Alternative as the approved Project for purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
EID is planning to conduct additional biological surveys along the approved Project alignment to help determine what federal and regulatory approvals or permits may be required for implementing the Project. Surveys will be taking place in areas within the District's easements located along the Upper Main Ditch, within the County right-of-way along Blair Road, and within the District's easements located on private property where the alignment does not follow Blair Road or the Upper Main Ditch. The surveys will provide necessary information on biological resources in support of the federal environmental review and permitting processes for the piping project. These surveys will be conducted by EID consultants and will take place during daylight hours over the next few weeks.
If you have questions regarding the project, or this process, please contact us at MainDitchProject@eid.org the District or cat (530) 622-4513 and ask for a representative for the Upper Main Ditch Project.
