Alan Day is currently serving his fourth term as a board member of the El Dorado Irrigation District, Division 5, having been reelected in November 2024. Alan has served as EID board president in 2014, 2019, and 2024. He has also served as vice president in 2018, and 2023.

In the past he has served as Chairman of EID’s Finance, Rates and Charges Standing Committee and vice chairman of EID’s Legal and Legislative Standing Committee. Additionally, Alan served as a member of the Board of Directors for the El Dorado Water & Power Authority for eight years. Commencing June 26, 2013, Alan was elected to fill the unexpired term of the LAFCO alternate seat that ran until May 2015.  Alan again served on the LAFCO commission in 2021.

Alan has been a small business owner and employer for over 29 years in El Dorado County. He holds a bachelor of science in business administration. He has been married for 36 years with two children. For more than 11 years he served as a coach and board member of the El Dorado Hills Soccer Club.
