Does your household qualify?

  • Yes, I receive a discounted rate through PG&E’s CARE program for the same address and in the same name AND

  • Yes, I live at the property that receives these services and the EID bill is in my name

If you say yes to all 3 of the required qualifications you may apply by doing the following:

Submit your completed application and attach a copy of your current PG&E bill for the same addresses showing participation in the CARE program. PG&E bill must be dated within the past two months.

Applications will be processed in the order they are received and can take up to 4 weeks to process. You will receive a letter in the mail advising you if you have been enrolled in the program or not.

Customers that are currently approved for the low income assistance program will need to renew their account every two years. Approximately 30 days prior to your account's expiration in the program, a letter will be sent out explaining the process. A new application along with a current PG&E bill showing enrollment in the CARE program will be required to be submitted in order to remain in the EID low income program.
