The District is proposing to modify Water Right Permit 21112 through a water right change petition. This modification would add an additional authorized upstream point of diversion, as well as a new place of storage and point of re-diversion. These changes are intended to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of water management within the District’s system and to better meet future water demands in El Dorado County.

The additional point of diversion would be located at the District’s existing El Dorado Diversion Dam near Kyburz. In addition, the District proposes to add Sly Park Dam (which forms Jenkinson Lake) as a point of re-diversion, with Jenkinson Lake serving as an additional authorized place of storage under Water Right Permit 21112.
